Hi! Yesterday I bought the wireless lan card for my 70NX and I really do like it. I got everything to work (internet access - although through internet sharing on my main computer...is this right? - win-hand...a remote desktop util - and hotsync).
So everything seems to be working ok, only thing is that the speed of the internet browser on the clie (netfront) is particularly slow and will not correctly show web pages with lots of graphics.
My internet connection is a 1.5 Mb DSL connection which flies on my main computer.
Does any one know why my connection is so slow. Could it be netfront? Does any one know of a really good web browser for the palm which supports highrez+ and doesn't have the memory caching limit (i think this might be the reason netfront displays a certain number of images per page).
Thanks in advace to everyone and thanks for posting all your tips and experiences (i was able to get everything working thanks to these)!

Sam, I hated NetFront with a passion, setting the cache to zero and unchecking some features may help. On your Clie, in network wireless advanced prefs, make sure powersaveon is unchecked! This will slow down your connection speed something fierce!
The only other HiRes+ browser I have seen is PocketLink2. You can find it on Palmgear or Handango. Other browsers are WebProV, Blazer, Xiino, and Netspring.

I am having the same problem.
I did the settings as mentioned but the speed is still extremely slow. I'm not sure if its netfront, I also tried pocketlink2 but had more problems. I also would apreciate any help on this matter.
thanks

If you are without at wireless hub, then I would guess so, but if you have a wireless hub, then why? You should be able to treat your NX as just another node (computer) on the wireless network.
As for browsers, CLIESource opinion seems to be about 70/30 against NetFront. Personally, I've been using AvantGo to browse sites and have been mildly satisfied thus far...I don't even care to figh the NetFront battle after all I've read, so it's good enough for now. All you have to do is set you "work online" option and you're good.

You need to have at least 6MB free in RAM to install it. You can use PowerRun v1.2 to move and run it from the MS.

Same problem here have it linked to a wireless access router that uses 802.11b which is what the card needs but the internet pulls up very very slow and can not see most of the page or cache problems so I turned off the network shutdown and cache, but the speed of the internet browser on the clie (netfront) is still very slow and will not correctly show web pages with lots of graphics. Any ideas on how to speed it up would be very helpful.....Thanks
