I ordered a Sony Screen protector for my NR from Best Buy (I had a digital coupon so it cost me nothing). I finally got it today. To give reference the single line invoice is 11 inches...

Nice!! Too bad they didn't have a bigger box so the screen protector didn't have to be bent during shipping!!

This looks like a great submission for Consumer Reports! Talk about overpackaging.

Thankfully it was just air pillows, put I thought it was a coat or something my wife ordered while shopping during the snow storm. I got my new headphones today and the 8X8 box they came in weighed the same as the monster box for the screen protector.

I say give them some "good" press.

Call your local news station and get ahold of their consumer reports person. Then watch the fun.

That box looks like it's 4 feet tall.

I just got the same thing. From Amazon? Pretty rediculous. They could have taped it to the back of a postcard!

I had the same problem last december. I ordered a Casio Keyboard for my son for Christmas and it came wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap and was dropped in a box big enough to fit a 52 inch TV! The keyboard wasn't even in it's original box, just wrapped in bubble wrap.

I think that someone at BuestBuy has developed a sense of humour as bad as mine, I bet they pissed themselves thinking about the look on your face when you opened it :)

Imagine if I actually paid expedited freight for it though, and got nailed for the extra charge for the over sized box....

Imagine if you had ordered a large screen tv! The box would have been bigger than your house!!!

Okay, now I know they're f'in with me.

I had to order a second screen protector because the first order didn't take the coupon and I couldn't cancel it. Even though I placed the order 5 days later then the original, it arrived today, one day after the monster box. It came in 5X8 bubble padded envelope with the screen protector placed lovingly inside the folded invoice. I really wish I kept the box just so I could bring it back to the store when I returned the duplicate protector. I know someone in their warehouse is laughing his butt off at me.

Wouldn't matter, it's one of those "only good for one use" type deals, like a gift card. Unfortunately it's not a ten $10 coupon that everybody can use.
