Recently bought a wifi card for my NX80 and got connected at University. The following week they changed their wireless connection to protected access, which require you to inputting a username and password, which I've been issued with but can't find out how to do this on the clie. Can anyone help please? The guys at Uni say I might need to download new drivers, is this right?

Well, my situation is a little different. I set up my router at home which requires password in order to get access to the routher, but the strange thing is NX80 doesn't ask you for username or password and it can connect to it. This is really strange, but the problem is I at this present time, I still couldn't get onliine. It says "invalid network setting". I know my settings are right, just don't know why. Good Luck to you, I already gave up on the wifi. I spent 3 weeks figuring out.

i'm using my wireless card to connect at my uni as well (University of Melbourne)
we've got the login and password thing as well, but the thing is setup a bit strangely
for me to view sites internal to the uni, such as department homepages, uni email account, etc, i have to turn my proxy settings off, and then they load fine.
for external sites, i have to turn proxies on, access the wireless login page for my uni, and login there. once i've done that, once i try to access an external site a popup box appears at the bottom of the screen which asks for login and password, and i have to enter the details in once again. (and for some stupid reason the password field doesn't appear as *****, so anyone behind me can see my password. stupid program.) then it works fine and pages load normally
oh, and i can't get icq to work, dunno why. the IT department is useless to me cause no-one knows anything about pdas.
hope this helps

what type of "login" do you require?
at my uni, we have a webpage that tells us to input username and password
then we are allowed access to the network

Haven't a clue, I can't get to a situation where I can log in.
I guess this must be an increasingly common problem with more and more sites moving towards protected access, so what's the deal, or am I stuffed?
