I'm going to be going to college next year and I was considering about getting a new CLIE with WIFI. But the thing is I'd like to wait for a new model...preferably a UX or an NX. If none come out I might consider getting a TH 55 though. But the question is should I get a new PDA or just maybe a WIFI card. Currently I have an NX70v...what are your opinions?

Upgrade to NX80, then get a card. That's what I did!

Don't know if you should spend on a card now since future models probably won't have CF.
Wait a bit. If new models don't come out in the next few months with the new OS and a lot more memory, that means it's time to desert Sony and explore the pastures of the future.

I am in the same boat, I am waiting for the new OS to get here. But If it does not well there is always PPC.
No, not PPC! Quotes from a Psion thread (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27942&perpage=15&pagenumber=3) Pocket PC have a woeful standard set of applications (in fact I can’t believe they get away with it actually!) and for any serious use one has to dig deep in the wallet to get the kind of functionality you get as standard elswhere. I discounted the Windows PPC machines very early on due to the unstability of the OS and the fact that the OS is not intuitive as is Epoc or the Palm OS. (I recently watched someone copy a photo taken on a digital camera, onto a PPC machine by inserting the camera's SD card in the PPC. It was a long and complicated procedure in comparison with doing the same thing on a Palm OS PDA). The Pocket PC OS is nothing but a disaster, very clunky and unstable, a typical Microsoft product. Outlook is plainly at the heart of the integration of PPC with PC, but it still surprises me that the PPC operating system is unable to read native Windows file formats! If I receive a Word document via email I can't read it on my PPC unless I transfer it back to a PC and copy it again to the PPC. Even then the copy has to be done using ActiveSync. This is even more frustrating when I try to transfer files by infrared (or Bluetooth) from a colleague's machine to my PPC. I can receive the file, but I can't read it!

Well if you mean the only reason why sony is release a new OS is because they want to boost sells.......well what else is new with them:rolleyes:
