Just curious cause some have said it is 3.7V 1500mAh and others have said its 5.2V 1200mAh and cliebattery.com sells one that they claim is for NX70, NX80, and NR70. This confuses me since the battery in my NX80 seems so much better than the others which I previously owned.

I just noticed that on cliebattery.com the battery they recommend is 5.2V 1000mAh. This is different from what I just read in most reviews as the battery being 3.7V 1200mAh. Any engineers out there able to explain how this could be the case? I would be worried that a 5.2V would damage the PDA.

I'm pretty sure its 5.2 1200mAh. The one cliebattery sells is for the NR70v, although it will fit in the NX80 battery slot, if I'm not mistaken.

Isn't the NX8O's charger rated at approx 5 volts, and isn't it matched to the battery? If so, it would seem that the battery is a 5.2 volt.

Don't think it is. Most places sell the 3.7V for the NX80. I have found a few that sell a 5.2V for the NX70 however.

ZL says I have a full charge at 4.2V but I'm pretty sure the battery is 5.2V since if you look at the back of your unit you will see it says "DC 5.2V 1A" right below where it says "SONY".

I've just taken it out last night. For Li-Ion that size, it can't be more than 1000mah. There's really nothing readable printed on the battery at all.
Btw, I think the DC 5.2V means that you charge the battery with 5.2V, but the battery itself may provide another voltage.

NX70V is 5.2V/1000mah
NX80 is 3.7V/1200mah
You will find that on most reviews. The 70 battery works in the 80 though...thats what people say anyways.

I just emailed someone that bought a 3.7V 1100mAh of off ebay and has used it in their NX70V with no problems. This would mean that the NX80 battery can also be used in the NX70V if CopyCat's data is true. Anyone else replace their NX70V battery?

Ok, there are two different things.... The external power supply (and the associated marking on the back of the device) and the internal battery. The external supply for all of the nx's is 5.2v.
The battery is not a 5.2v battery, although some suppliers call it that. Fully charged it can output 4.2v, but it discharges to 3.7 drained. There are different mah ratings, which are capacities. On the back of the unit it mentions ma not mah (milliamps not milliamphours)

Ok, I got this info from Clie singapore
NX 80 specifications
Power Requirements
AC power adapter
Battery
DC5.2V (dedicated connector)
Lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery (internal, 1,200mAh)
for NX70 it's not specify, but i think both model using the same battery, anyone can verify?
