I had a Palm Vx that I was having lots of problems with...wouldn't respond to tapping, had to be recalibrated each time I used it, etc.
I just got my new TH55 last night. I guess when I was installing my Sony software, and it asked if I wanted to delete my old palm desktop, I assumed...incorrectly...that everything else from the palm folder would be deleted. Anyway, when I did my first hot sync today, all my old palm software from the Vx was put on my new TH55. I did not want to do this. Then to top if all off, when I tried my TH55 after the hot sync, it locked up and would not respond to any taps on the screen. I had to do two soft resets and then use digifix to recalibrate the screen. Just like my old palm Vx!
I want to know if I should do a hard reset and manually delete my backupall folder from my computer. If I do a hard reset, does all the original software that the TH55 came with come back, or do I lose that too? What I want to do is start with the TH55 like it was fresh out of the box, and only add software that I want to add on...one at a time. Also, is it possible that my old palm Vx might have had a virus and I've just put it on my TH55? I've been working on this all day and just can't think at this point.
I would greatly appreciate any help!
