Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a GPS module that works with the NR70V in the UK?

No, it's only available in Japan for Japan only. From what I understand there is no intention by Sony to expand it to other markets. There was a rumor that something third party was in the works but, don't hold your breath. Sony keeps it's interface proprietary.

There are, however gps moduels that can be inserted into the hotsync port and use a cable to connect to the GPS. DeLorme sells one and I know there's at least one other that supports it.

Holux sells the GM210. This is a "mouse GPS" for which you can buy a "Sony Clie T" cable that will work with all compatible Cliés (like the NR70) (then N cable is for the older S and N Clie's)
