UK TH55 and Mergic VPN

I'm looking to get a UK version of the TH55 and would like to know if anyone has tried the Mergic VPN software over a 802.11b connection? And then, over a Bluetooth connection?

I wrote Mergic to see if they supported the TH55 and the response was very quick but, they hadn't had a TH55 to test on. The support person thought that it *should* work because Mergic works on the UX50.

Anyone?

Thanks, but I guess I didn't mention why I want to know this. I presently use Mergic VPN ( and VNC ) on my Sony Clie NX70v over WiFi. Thanks for the instruction page, but I already connect to work and a variety of my work servers with Mergic VPN and VNC.

I wanted to make sure that if I switched to a TH55 I wouldn't be losing functionality. I just saw some other VPN solution mentioned on this board that was not working with the TH55.

I at the very least need Mergic to run over WiFi. If am extremely lucky Verizon will put out their Bluetooth phone, there will be drivers that'll work with the UK TH55 and then finally, Mergic will work over the TH55->Phone Bluetooth link.

This definitely works as I use it with my TH55 with no hitches whatsoever.

Based upon your location information I'm assuming you mean 802.11b works? That's great! At least I won't be loosing any funtionality from my NX70v. Now just have to find out about Bluetooth.

I'm going to be hopeful and believe in a rumor Motorola Preps CDMA Bluetooth Phone (http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=787) .

Am I counting on it? No. But, eventually us slow U.S. folks will catch on and supply and demand will follow.

Does anyone know if Mergic VPN will allow the TH55 to connect to an 802.11b cisco systems network that is "LEAP" encrypted. This is the one issue holding me back from upgrading my t665 to a th55

Mergic only supports PPTP as far as I know. I don't think it will even work with IPSEC.
