Crs Image View

I just installed the new version of Crs Image View onto my SJ30.  The app did not work


When selected the screen would only appear white
I added Crs Image View to the SwitchDash list
I dissabled SwitchDash


All of these factors considered and I couldn't get it to work.  I am beginning to wonder if this app requires the jpg library that some of the higher end Clie's have.  The web page and read me files are all in japenese, and I only know english.

The website says the newest version (0.8) is for Ciles with the JPEG decoder library (NR, T665, etc).

You can use the older version (0.5) that's included in the ZIP file. But that only supports BMP files.

Thanks for the babelfish link kstuart. I have heard that the JPEG decoder library has been known to work on other devices. Is this true? Is the file available for legal download anywhere?

I can confirm that the JPEG decoder library works on my N610, I copied it from my NR. I don't know about the legality of downloads of it. You might check the Yahoo Clie site.

The two files I copied from my NR ROM are:
JPEG Library 64k
JPEG Util Library 29k

What device are you using.  I am using a SJ30.  I am able to view jpegs using the libraries with CRS, which is good.  I really wanted it to work with bmpVsi.  I can not view jpgs using bmpVsi on my SJ30.  Also is there any way to utilize the CRS' jpegs with ZLaunchers backgrounds.  If so how?

I'm using an old N760C.

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with bmpVsi. Can you provide a link so I can try it out?

And for ZLauncher background you need to have the JPEG at exactly 320x320.

If you're talking about using CRSimg as the default viewer for the Zlauncher bmps and jpgs -- using Zlauncher to browse the files, the answer is no. That's something that only works with Acid Image. But Zlauncher itself will preview any jpgs, prc, pdb and bmps images. Just do a tap-and-hold and select "preview" from the pop-up menu list.

To be a Zlauncher background, the image does NOT have to be exactly 320x320 or 320x480. Zlauncher will either automatically crop or tile larger or smaller images, respectively.

It's Yishow that has to have exactly-sized images.
