Sony Japan released a patch today for the TJ37. Here it is:
http://www.nccl.sony.co.jp/download/C-W018-001-01/index.html
A quick translation says:
This update program updates system software and fixes a few bugs:
1) Fixes the bug where if you insert/eject a Memory Stick while the Clie is powered down, sometimes you may have experienced worse battery performance and/or unstable operation.
2) Fixes the bug where when you repeatedly press "Play" and "Stop" in third-party audio players such as Aero Player, sometimes the left and right audio channels become flipped.

If you're brave and want to try this out, the installation instructions are the same as I mentioned in the TH55 forum, and to check that it has been properly installed, do this:
1) In your Clie home screen, Press the Menu icon and select "About"
2) Select "Version" toward the bottom of the screen.
3) Scroll down, and check that GeneralPatchExtn is V1.04 and MXMSLib is V2.11.

I would test this, but I don't own a TJ37. Good luck to anyone who tries this out. :D

Don't try it unless you own the japanese version, I'd assume.

Yeah sorry about the screwed up link.

As for the update, I installed the Japanese TH55 update on my US version TH55, and it works just fine, except the wireless setup screen shows symbols I can't read. My wifi performance has increased by about 10%.
