Has anyone tried T series MP3 adapter? I wanted to know:
- How is the sound quality?
- How bulky is it?
- How badly does it affect battery life

Basically I have a T615. I want MP3 functionality. But I dont find NR/NX/NZ appealing enough to upgrade (T615 is still the best!). Reason, these are too big and bulky. T665 is an option, but all I get over T615 is MP3 (and may be, a better screen).

PS: Yes, I'll upgrade when a T615 like device with MP3 and VG (we've all been waiting for) comes out!

Actually with the T665, you get a much better screen (The color saturation is much better), faster processor (66Mhz as opposed to a 33 Mhz), plus the built in Mp3 player offers better functionality when viewing Kinoma movies.

Since the Mp3 player is built in, it allows you to play any and all sounds through the built in speaker.

Right now you can buy a T665 for $299. The Mp3 adapter is around $130 the last time I look.

I know that with my T665, I really have no interest in moving to any of the current OS5 machines.

I hope that helps a bit.

I bought one of them for my T415 for $60 at www.overstock.com during the Christmas holiday. It is far too cumbersome, I barely ever use. I regret buying it.

It's fairly cumbersome, but it's cheaper than buying a T665.

Check out my review of the MP3 adapter. :)

It's a good accessory, especially if you download Audio player V2.2.1. The included ver 1.0 does not allow background play.
