facer skinning

I have recently quit my job and gone freelance and the calendar layout of facer is really usefull for my job.
As usual though I want ot make my own skins, the ones I have downloaded seem to have a background image that only fills 320 x 320 of my screen. Can I change this when I make my own ??

Any idea where I can get a skin maker to make Hi Res plus skins.
I want to try and convert some of my YiShow skins to suit facer.
Atthe moment I am trying Facer 1.9 so I will need a skin maker that will work with that version.

If you go to facertrhemes.com, check under the HR+ section. Those skins are 320X480. Also you will find information on skinning there. If you want the FAcemaker program, get it at Palmgear. search for Facer then click on all products by pocketcraft. Enjoy

cheers for the info, I downloaded the face maker beta. and although there are no instructions I think I've worked out what to do. The only problem is when i hotsync the new skin i get this message Invalid handheld file deleted: C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\cliema\Install\HRplayer1.prc . I found that the images in the 'images' folder were very small, is this because they are low res??
shouldn'y my bmp's for hires plus be larger, I took a screen shot of the default skin and used that to make my guides, this is how i do my other skins. Am i doing it wrong ?? should they be in fact the same size as the bmp's in the images folder ??

Yes They should. I just open them up and modify them. There is a list of sizes available from pocketcraft and at the facerthemes site.

Ok so how do I skin the green arrow buttons, I have seen some skins with different buttons.

Unless you decompile the skin you cant. At least I haven't done that part. There are a few graphics that cant be changed..at least right now.

OK I worked out how to change certain bitmaps, but although I can change the memory meter It won't work, when the meter level changes it reverts back to it's original graphic.
here is a shot of my new skin, I still need to change the date book and to do icons.

If you open up th skin in prcedit. Go to the bitmaps and scroll down to #162. For some reason"bug" there are 2 162s. Change the one that should be 164 and save the changes. It should work then.

dear ir803, i think you hear this question so many time but please tell me step by step for how to get your XP skin & this latest skin and install it to my NV73. did it need such as Yishow or any other software....

for the XP status skin you can use photoskin to swap with the default skin.
the blue player skin above is for Facer launcher, on my website you can find the blueplayer skin for YiShow 6.

Tried to use PRCedit and I could not find the bitmaps to rename them.????
What do you set as the Pilotdis and Systraps ?? all foriegn to me i'm afraid.
