Can somebody give me the shortcourse on Intellisync; the full version?

The enclosed blurbs about the program don't volunteer much information. Why should I upgrade to this program versus the lite one?

Thanks!

If you want to sync to something other than Outlook or Lotus Organizer. Also if you want to sync subfolders in Outlook (folks whose workpalces are standardized on MS Exchange sometimes want/need this). If Lite does what you need, ignore the upgrade pitch you get after installing Lite :)

pdagal..

can CLIE Mail sync with multiple folders if I use the FULL version of Intellisync? That would be so cool if it could do that. Then it would be worth the upgrade for me at least.

I have been looking into that myself, but I think the clie email app doesn't support multiple folders. there is a short disclaimer on their site (Pumatech) about the clie and folders. I couldn't find it again, but they said the short term solution is to use 3rd party email applications.

Hope this helped

I found the official statement for Pumatech

Some Sony CLIE devices (notably those with Palm OS 5.0, including the PEG-NX70V and the PEG-NX60) include a user-installable email client called ClieMail. If you have a Sony Clie that uses ClieMail and you upgrade to the Full version of Intellisync then you will not be able to synchronize email. However, you will still be able to synchronize all other sections (Calendar, Contacts etc) and will be able to take advantage of advanced features such as conflict resolution, filtering and additional PC application support such as Lotus Notes.

Pumatech is working closely with Sony's Clie Division in the US and Japan to create a workaround or resolution for this issue, to allow Clie users with Palm OS 5.0 to synchronize email

Thanks for that, Rony.

You might want to check out Chapura's Pocket Mirror Pro (the Standard version comes bundled with the Palms and Handsprings). It can sync Outlook subfolders and public folders, and as far as I'm aware, there aren't any unresolved problems with OS 5 Clies (but check with them to make sure when it comes to the NZ, since I haven't used it with the Clies). www.pocketmirror.com .
