You guys have to take a look at this camera, it is literally the size of a credit card and half an inch deep. How small is that!
If casio can put a digital camera with flash in a unit this tiny, you gotta go pick one up to really see how small it is, then how could sony come up with the NZ90 beast? I'm sure sony could fit a 2mp camera with flash into an NR70v sized device. Comeon sony!!

I am trialing one of these and it is GREAT! Small, light, thin, solid metal body, flash, great LCD viewscreen, movie mode, Secure Digital or MultiMedia Card memory... The picture clarity is incredible, 4x digital zoom- everything I wanted in a digital camera except a low price tag!
If I keep this, I'll be selling my old digital camera AND my relatively new Memory Stick Camera!

I like mine, too, but I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't have autofocus or optical zoom. Thankfully, in April that will be fixed. The Exilim EX-Z3 (I think that's the model number) will have a 3x optical zoom lens, autofocus, and some other nice picture taking features. There's one mode where you can take a picture of one person, "freeze" that frame, and have another person pose in the same spot and then record the picture, allowing at least a couple of people have a picture with both of them in it, without asking someone else to take their picture. The cradle that will come with the new Exilim allows you to run a slideshow on the camera's LCD (it's set up so that the back of the camera faces you when in the cradle). It's pretty slick, and still in the tiny form factor (though slightly thicker). Can't wait to upgrade! :)

how thick is the EX-Z3? From the pictures it looks like its gonna be pretty thick. I just saw the Exilim S-2 at Compusa yesterday and MAN that thing is smaller than I thought it would be. It is super thin, the LCD is crisp, and the camera turns on in less than a second. User operation is pretty smooth and fast. wow, I better start saving up in one. I hear they will come out with new colors in mid-February (white, blue, purple).
I guess the only downside is that I don't really have any "casio" branded products and don't know how good of a name brand they are.

The minolta dimage X (and Xi) cameras are so much better than this. They may be a bit thicker but are still the size of a deck of cards. the X is 2 megapixel and Xi is 3.3 megapixel. And the coolest thing about the dimages is that they both have internal 3x optical zoom lenses. minolta dimage xi (http://www.minoltausa.com/eprise/main/MinoltaUSA/MUSAContent/CPG/CPGProducts?cname=dig&fname=dig_ps&Mname=DiMAGE_Xi)

Here is a good link to a press release about the Casio Exilim EX-Z3 that will probably answer all of the general questions you have:

I considered the Dimage Xi and found that it would be a bit too expensive, plus there were some issues about picture quality that I didn't like. In retrospect, it is probably a little better than the Exilim EX-S2, but IMO, for the size and features, I think the EX-Z3 will beat the Dimage Xi.
A couple good camera news/reviews sites to consult are:

if you have a clie, you might want to check out the sony cybershot U2 camera. i have one of these and it is also tiny. i've seen and used both the u2 and the casio, but i went for the sony in the end because it had faster boot and shoot times. the sony also uses standard aaa cells.
