Does the TH55 have the Yamaha FM synth sound chip?

I might be getting some of the miniMusic software and wanted to know in advance if this Clie has the chip for better sound support.

(I believe the specs say something like "polyphonic" alert support)

The TH55 (and the UX40/50) do not have the old sound chip or the Pa1Lib interface.

The newer PDAs support the official Palm OS streaming sound APIs instread. Software can synthesize more elaborate tunes and higher quality audio (instead for the 4 bit ADPCM of the Yamaha chip)

Clie-T/NR/NX/NZ/SJ33/TG have the Yamaha FM synth sound chip.
But TH55 have no FM chip.

I always loved playing Bejeweled on the handhelds with that sound chip. It sounds great! Especially the TG50 with faster processor compared to the older OS4.1's.
