hi everyone. this is my first post. i've spent the past 2 or 3 weeks lurking and reading posts, trying to figure out whether to get the TH55.

i just got it Friday evening, charged it over the night and have been playing around with it all day Saturday and it is SWEET!!! incredible screen, Wi-Fi, small size, battery, etc...

i was just wondering what people's experience with GA and G2 are. i just installed GA yesterday and have been experimenting with it, but have been having some problems writing certain characters. especially "i" and some punctuations.

has anyone else had any problems? any tips on how to write the "i"? thanks everyone.

bye bye...

There may be a thread or two about G vs. G2. That said, the easiest way to learn the new graffiti system is to either:
-- read the manual
--read the tiny card which came with your TH55
--do an upstroke on the screen (from bottom to top) when in memo, datebook or any app which requires input & you'll get the graffiti tips for writing the letters in real time.

As for writing the i, like the k, t, & x, it requires 2 strokes to produce - in the case of the i, an "i" plus the dot above it.

sorry, i don't think i was very clear about what my problem was.

when i've been using GA and G2 and trying to make an "i," when i make the dot on the top, it reads it as a "period" or something else.

so, whenever i make a character that requries 2 quick strokes, i run into problems b/c the 2nd stroke is not read.

thanks everyone.

bye bye... :D

I encountered the same problem with the "i" using Graffiti Anywhere. It has helped to uncheck Single Tap Recognition under Activation tab. Haven't had any problems with the i since but it does require a little patience now when selecting a box or repositioning the cursor.

Ahhh, single tap recognition! Thanks for reminding me of that. No wonder I couldn't enter punctuation marks. I can't wait for all of the bug fixes, but at least that's fixed on my CLIE.

cool, thanks! that's solved my "i" problem, which was getting to become a real pain when trying to write.

i guess i can be a bit patient when pressing "done" and stuff like that.

now, just waiting for the next release of graffiti anywhere.

bye bye... :D
