This thing is HUGE!!
Built in Bluetooth is nice. Quick test of BT seems to work fine (no problem logging in through our local network access point - unlike the Tungsten which has buggy network support).
I'm actually creating this message on the NZ.
It's really big!
I prefere the NR/NZ keyboard. NZ keys are nearly flush with the body, which I feel makes it more difficult to type with.
It's very large!
New stylus is still crappy.
It's awfully bulky!
Tablet mode buttons are nice, but are small and awkward. There is still room for improvement here.
It's excessively thick!
IR port is on the side, which will be problematic with the RMC (remote).
It's overly large!
The,camera is nice. Picture quality is good, but not great. For a PDA it's awesome, but a dedicated still cam will take a better pic.
Overall I am not impressed enough to upgrade from my NR. It has some nice new features, but I think I'll hang on to my NR a bit longer.
Oh, and did I mention, it's HUGE!!
Aloha, GG

But tell me, do you think it's big? You weren't clear enough.

So, i wasn't cleay what you were hinting at regarding the size? Did you think it was too big?

Customers seem to like it, though. Sold a couple already and it's not even lunch yet.

The whole "NZ is Large" thing is getting very old....;)

Battery life seems pretty good. Been playing with it for quite while with Bluetooth enabled and it's still going.

The main body part of the NZ isn't much thicker than my old Palm IIIxe, and I managed to stuff that in my shirt pocket just fine, so it doesn't seem "HUGE!!, really big!, very large!, awfully bulky!" etc., to me. My first impression was "this is really awesome" and I still feel that way a week later.

Tried Pocketlink and Blazer so far and both work well.
Curiously, Netspring says it's "not compatible with this version of Palm OS". But it is supposed to be OS5 compatible? I'm gonna try a hard reset and check it again...
The keyboard is not as bad as I first thought. Just takes a bit more practice than the NR/NX kb.
Pretty cool toy. I'm tempted, but I'm really having a hard time getting past the size.
Edit: Netspring does not work. Even thought it's supposed to be OS5 compatible. Odd...

Well, in another month, when there are rumors of another new clie, we can say "the NZ is so old..."

Don't really get the "Oh my god it's HUGE" criticisms... sure it's big.. but not overly so, and it's not that heavy.
I prefer the NZ keyboard... the rectangular keys are much easier to hit than the circles.
The whole thing feels pretty solid (though I did notice that the flap over the dock slot was missing).
I think people that go on and on over how humongoid this thing is have a gift for exagerration.
PS: I'm Japanese so, no I do not have big meathooks for hands.

I reserved my judgement until I had one in my hands. And it is big. Very big and heavy for a PDA. I tried carrying it my shirt pocket and it felt like I had a brick in there. Not as bad in my pants pocket, but it still felt much larger and heavier than my NR.
But that is just my opinion. You are entitled to your own. If you don't find it too big/heavy and you enjoy it, then I am very happy for you.
Also, as the thread title states, this is my first impression. Who knows, after playing with it for a while I may decide I like it in spite of its size. I thought the NR was too big at first, but now I have one (but I doubt I will change my mind on the NZ since it is TWICE as thick as my NR).
Actually, my biggest turn off for the OS5 Clies is the 4MB less available user memory... but that's another issue altogether.

Battery life is deffinitely longer than the NR when using Bluetooth (compared to NR with MSB1). Nice. The built-in BT seems to have a stand by mode that allows it to remain funtional with minimal battery drain when not actively connected.
