Can anyone tell me how I can run applications from the MS. I know how to move them there, however they never show up on the launcher to run.

Assuming you are using OS 4.xx or higher, the apps must reside in the /Palm/Launcher folder on the MS, to be recognized by a launcher.

it's in the category for your memory card. On mine it's titled "T16". I fell into the trap of looking for new apps I'd installed in the "Unfiled" category before I realised what was going on.

Good point. I should have mentioned this.

You can also buy third party replacement launchers that will let you place memory stick applications in the category of your choice. Here's a chart with different launcher features, including Categorize Memory Card Apps:http://www.launchplug.com/Launcher_chart.html

There are some good reviews on various launchers on this site, PDA Avenue (www.pdaavenue.com), and spradlin's site (launchplug.com).

Yeah, Launchers are the way to go...........

It's a pain in the rear to have to switch to the "t16" category to launch an application.

Also, there are hacks that allow you to customize launches based to Grafitti strokes....

Ripping

I am so happy that a thread like this already exists. At least I'm not the only one.

Questions though - I contacted sony and found out most of the above.

Protected Applications (like Simcity, etc). How do I get them to launch off the Memory stick? I dont really care about the data files (like with Dark Haven, which is a killer game BTW) being in internal memory, but I'd like to get all the applications on the stick. I got the 128 Mb and it's time to fill the damn thing up!
