View Full Version : alternatives to intellisync
I've heard some bad things about Pumatech support (and also about the latest v. of Intellisycn), so I was wondering if anyone could recommend an alternative to Intellisync.
I currently use Schedule+ for calendar stuff, but can move to Outlook Calendar if necessary. I use Outlook 97 for mail.

I really like Pocket Mirror Pro. I was given a full version of Intelisync from a Pumatech rep and used it for 4 months. I got very tired of the misc. issues that always seemed to pop up with it and got PMP. No problems since. I know it works with Outlook, I don't know about scheduler +.

I switched back from Intellisync to Packet Mirror Pro. I used PM Pro for a very long time with my Palm III and Palm V. After getting Intellisync with my NR70V i used it for several months, but a few weeks ago i switched back. I simply find itīs a bit faster while hotsyncing.

I bought Desktop To Go from Dataviz, and I am very happy with it. :)

Desktop to Go is alright, but I found it very slow. The Pumatech rep was bragging that Dataviz stopped developing DTG because IS was so much better. He might be right about Dataviz not updating DTG, but DTG was always better than IS, just slower. I think PMP gives you the best of both worlds.

Pocket Mirror works very well. I'm using OE for mail and Outlook '97 as my default hotsync...no problems!

HOLY SIMOLIANS, BATMAN!!! I have been using DTG for years and have no problems with it. I am always interested in "bigger-better-faster" but FIFTY BUCKS!!!! How much better can it BE?!!!!

I guess slow is a relative term. I have no problem with the speed. and it works perfectly. I won't be switching anytime soon.

I can agree with that - Pocketmirror is really faster.
