I have **no** clue what just happened ... just did a hotsync and now all of sudden my 256MB MS Pro is no longer recognized. Neither is my old 128MB MS
Any ideas what might have happened or what might solve my problem?? This is really upsetting. My whole life is on that stick!
As an FYI I've already tried the obvious warm reset ... no joy. I'm dreading a hard reset but if thats the only thing I can do then spo-be-it I suppose ...
Thanks from the bottom of my heart fro any ideas / help you can offer!!!

use a dedicated MS reader and save your info before you go toying with it

Whew ... panic off ... for now ...
Just did another warm reset and all appears to be well.
That was **really** bizarre ...

D-man54,
I have a Lexar256, and have had the same problem. My old TG50 died out on me in a plane, and I purchased an NX80 believing that I only had a problem with the unit itself and not the stick.
Only, after a few days of using my new NX80, I was moving some pics from my DCIM folder to Zlauncher, when everything on my screen came up as though I had no MS inserted. I popped out the stick and re-inserted it, only to have nothing load up again. I finally got everything going by making sure that I pushed the MS slowly, and FIRMLY into the slot, and making sure to hold it there until everything loaded-up after a couple of seconds. This seems to work, but leaves me with a sour feeling, of always feeling that I have to be mindful of accidentally nudging the side of my NX80,:( not to mention the other possibilities, of whether or not I simply have a defective unit, or a bad MS.)
I would also say that you SHOULD make certain that you have registered your unit with Sony, (Just in case :)) and try to pop your memory stick into either another Clie, or a digital-photo booth somewhere. That'll let you know pretty quick what the problem may be.

What device do you have? If NX60/70, have you installed any CF drivers?
