Can I upgrade the Palm OS on my NR-70V to V.5?

No, I'm sorry. The architecture of the NR70 is not compatible with OS 5.

Thanks - after I posted the query, I found the info at PalmSource. What a bummer - just saw the lovely hi-res OS on my friend's new NX.

I AM NOT UPGRADING HARDWARE FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 12 MONTHS. REPEAT - I AM NOT UPGRADING HARDWARE.

I wish to thank everyone for there input. I went to my local Best Buy and picked up the last NR70V/U.
Boy I love this thing. I would like to know where can I get some skins and other hacks and stuff that take advantage of the 320x480 resolution.
Thank you again and hopefully I will be able to contribute more in the future.
Caleb:)

I was about to get angry, but everything seems to be going reasonably well here. Keep up the good work. :)

What were you about to get angry about? I hope it was nothing I said? Sorry for getting off topic I just like to clear the air.
Let us hope that everything with our NR70's will continue to be great for a while.
I looked at the NX70 and when I saw 5.0 it was kind of strange.
With 4.1 you could at least figure out most of the stuff. WIth 5.0 they seem to take that away from you and give you less control over your own device.
I don't know maybe it is just me. Ok I am off of my soap box.
:D

Sorry Caleb, it's a bit of a reoccuring question here. When they first announced OS 5 and all the details we got this question 4-5 times a week and it became sort of a running joke. Your best bet for information is to do a quick search in our archives (using the keyword search field is very fast) before you ask. Chances are if you have a question, somebody has already asked, and the archives really has a wealth of information that has saved my butt more then once. If you can't find anything, ask away, we are usually very helpful around here. Good luck and enjoy your new NR.

PS: I'm not angry, and when I get angry I'm not "really" angry. I only get angry for real with people I meet face-to-face.
