I looked up the charger cables (49.99 CAD), and hot sync cables (29.99 CAD) on the Sony website. Both of these come with a "plug adapter" which seems to have the small usb port on one end, and the larger one that fits into the bottom of the clie on the other.

When i look at my cradle, I see that the charger cord is actually removeable, but you need that "plug adapter" to plug it straight into the Clie.

So my question is, if I bought the hot sync cable, which comes with the plug adapter, can I use that same plug adapter to attach to my charger cord?

Thanks! :)

Yep, that's what I did for the longest time for my NR, I got the sony hot sync cable and used the power cord from my old T415 cradle and it works fine. I've since but a dedicated aftermarket hotsync/charging cable to minimize the wire mess off my laptop. Not sure what's available in Canada but Compusa has a varied selection of such cables that are actually cheaper than the Sony cable.
