Too Many Years on Handheld

I have all my datebook entries on my Clie since March of 2001. Is it possible to have them on the desktop but to limit them on the handheld to, say, one year in the past? I don't suppose it matters to this since they use the same db file, but I use DateBk5.

Can't you just purge them?

I think that way they go from the handheld, but remain on the desktop.

Thanks, yes, I see that works OK. I didn't realize you could go into a separate archive database from the palm desktop to see the old events. That'll work OK for me. I do need to refer to them from time to time, but don't need the handheld taking so long to sync when I change computers and it has to do a record by record compare. I've been carrying three years around. I'll try just one for a while and see how it works.
