Hot sync problem

I was trying to hot hot sync my handheld when it just stopped tranferring info. After a couple retry's still nothing I could not when get back to my launcher. So i did a hard reset (3) and tried it again but everytime i get to a certain file during hot sync the hot sync logo go away from my computer screen. So after i remove my NX from the cradle i hear the sound as if hot sync is completed, but i still have to do a hard reset to get the unit to function a still non of my info is restored.

HELP
