I had to cancel my NR80V order with CDW. There was a hang up with the order but they never even tried to contact me. After chasing down the right rep, he said there was a problem because the price was "below our cost".

I ordered off a web page!

They wanted about $40 more than I was in for with the original order.

So I canned the order.

NewEgg gave me a nice deal so I'm back to watching the mailbox . . .

I ordered my NX80 from them (Newegg) last week. Arrived as promised. No problems (knock on wood).

Hmmm, got my NX80/LAN bundle from CDW, even after they showed it out of stock, with no problems. They were very professional and the communications was very good. I guess it depends on the rep you get.

I think you will enjoy your NX80. It's a little thicker than the NR70V, but not quite as long. The pictures it takes are dramatically better than the NR70V. You will need to buy JackFlash and maybe CodeDiver and you will probably also want Fonts4OS5, (the default fonts suck). If you used Fonts4OS4 on your NR, you can upgrade to Fonts4OS5 for 4.90 on Palmgear, there's also a 10% discount code (pcmag) good until 5/4. I bought JackFlash and CodeDiver from Handango with a 15% discount code (94837). Don't know when the Handango code expires, just that it was good today.

Good Luck. Ubid is still selling 40, auction ending tomorrow, and the bids are still under $300, if your newegg deal goes sour.

Thanks for the tips, Sebring

How many MBs did JackFlash get you?

(Don't forget to update your avatar/sig!)

JackFlash is good for 15MB of Flash ROM. Of the 32MB of RAM, only 16MB is available to the user, so the additional 15MB from using JF is welcome.

Actually, I still have my NR. Hate to part with it, but I really don't need both, but thanks for the reminder.:D

Well I registered JackFlash and received my NX80V (in that order!)

All the predictions in this thread were true!

What a great Clie!

Thanks for all the tips guys.

So Shrink -

What's it like having that 256 MB stick to stretch out in? Near full?

Noodles, have fun! I've had my NX80 since August (upgraded from an NR70V that I, too, have yet to dispose of - it's now my "universal" remote at my countryhouse). With JackFlash, NF3.1, and a WL100, it's sort of hard for me to get with all this TH-related hoopla - I've got it all already, plus a CF card slot, backlit keyboard, 1.3MP camera, capture light, consumer-grade IR/Remote Commander, and in-line audio remote to boot. Anything less is a "downgrade."
