Hi all,

I recently purchased a refurbished T615c and now it seems that one of the screws on the side of the case has fallen out and is lost. I have contacted Sony and can't get just a replacement screw, but they are willing to take it back and repair it under warranty. I've tried www.gethightech.com and they don't have the screws.

I would prefer not to send my entire unit back for a single screw and was wondering if anyone knows a source for this (or similar) very small screw?

TIA

Bart

check with a mobile phone repair centre, they might be using standard sized screws (yeah right!)

I bought a refurbished N610 on eBay. There were six screws on it, and within a couple months, 5 of the 6 fell out. I called Sony and was told the only thing I could do is send the unit in for repair and that they wouldn't honor any sort of warranty since I did not purchase it from an "authorized reseller". I didn't bother sending it in.

Thanks a lot Sony.

I found that some of the eyeglass screws work well- your local optical dept. might be able to help you.

This site, www.partsolver.com, sells a lot of the parts that make up the T615.
