hard decision

Im having a hard time picking a clie
its between the nx80, tj-37 and th-55

I think the nx80 will be out of my price range. But working at best buy I get the tj-37 for around 250 and

the th-55 for around 330. I perfer the price of the tj-37, but will pay the extra $80 if necessary. The

biggest things I like about the nx80 are the high res. camera, keyboard and cool form factor/twist screen. If

I got the nx80 I would have to add wifi via the CF slot.

My main uses will be :

Basic PDA PIM (th-55 sounds better here b/c enhanced software)
geek factor/toy (nx80 has a better camera)
wireless web browsing (all, when adding wifi to the nx80)
Mutimedia playback - which one is best here?
General usage - which is best as far as speed, battery life, and text entry (is the resolution of the th-55

that big of a deal, what about the graffiti 2 support?)

So which would you guys reccomed for me? AND, whats the best price I can get on the discontinued nx80?

I would personally recommend the TH55, if you can't afford the NX80 - and maybe even if you can. The hires+ screen would be the main reason - once you use it you will NEVER be able to go back to a 320X320 screen! Trust me on this - I have an SJ30 and I never use it anymore because of the screen size.

I would have to fully recommend the TH-55 here, especially if you want to do any wireless internet. I've got the NX80, and was lucky enough to get a WiFi card cheap. And really, I take most of the pictures with my NX80 at 640x480 resolution, the same as what the TH55 takes.

Tough decision, Definately go for high res screen, which is the TH55 and NX80V

The TH55 remember is not the same as the NX80V in the software, it has new software, little tweaks here and there. And the battery life I heard is EXCELLENT. It has built in wifi, which is definately a plus. If you really like the twist form factor and you feel that you'd like a keybaord, then the NX80V is for you. If you want a "better" Clie (software wise), then go for the TH55. I have a NX73V, I love it, the best things are the camera (taking videos too, oh yah, i dont think the TH55 can take vids, what a shame) and using wifi. Having to put a card in is kinda a bother. MY NX73V has a problem with the page too large error which alot of ppl are familiar with, but the NX80V rarely has this problem but still does when loading the larger pages (due to more RAM). I think they have probably fixed this problem in the TH55 (well most of it), which is a great plus.

If it was my choice... hmmm so tough, but I would say TH55 for these reasons: great battery life, built in wifi, nice screen, new software.

I would not get the TH55 for these reasons: Cant take video, camera not superb but definately not shabby, no small keyboard.

I would get the NX80V for these reaons: camera is nice, keyboard

I would not get the NX80V for these reasons: battery life is only ok, no built in wifi

So ultimately, its down to your decision. I was put in a hard decision between two clies too, one was a good deal, and another was alot more expensive but better. I chose the cheap on, which someone offered me a ridiculous amount for it 2 weeks after (I wasnt ready to let go), but I sold it. And then I got my NX73V and even though the clie's were similar, I must say, it was alot better. So this is my advice, choose whatever your instinct that says, I want this one if money was not an issue.

Who said that? The NX80 is Hires+.

Yes, the TH55 is Hires+, as I stated in my original post - that's the whole reason I would recommend it instead of the TJ37.
Also, I have read threads on this board that say the TH55 CAN take video. From my recollection, you just need to transfer a software file into it and it will be video capable.

I have been doing a lot of research, the NX80 is the best in less than $300. I just got it last week, I LOVE IT. NX80 has the better resolution 1.3MP Camera, all others have too low resolution, you will be regret if you get these low resolution palm ( picture quality is the same as cell picture quality, now you can imagine how bad is it). Besides, you have more options with CF capable, like GPS on Palm while you driving and much more. My conclusion, is choose NX80, it is worth it.

Forgot to mention, built in KEYBOARD, SAVE lots of time. No more TAPPING letter by letter by letter by letter.............

I agree keyboard is cool. But I disagree with the camera, sure 1.3 megapixel camera would just be acceptable as a digital image, but the camera quality on my NX73V is already excellent in my opinon, I can take pictures of notes on the board, and they turn out flawless. I wouldnt need anything better, it'd be cool, but not nessaccary.

TH55 has the better software, and software makes a big difference. Like I said, just look deep into your heart, and whichever one you say "If I had $1000 to spend on a clie, thats the one I would get", then get that one.
