Have been offered the N760C with 2 x 64MB memory sticks at a good price. However, unable to find a review of this model online. Can anyone shed some light and offer a pros/cons input?

I had one for 1 1/2 years, and I was really happy with it.
It has a very good color screen (but it it is front lit, so it looks different from the screens of other Clies).
MP3 play is great, and it has a decent size.
The only pain for me was having only 8Mb of internal memory, but you can go around that by getting an app like PiDirect.

I've had mine for over an year now. Still love it. I still think it's one of the best PDA's when compared to the newer models. Great battery life, good screen, great buttons, etc.
The only things that bother me a bit are the 8MB RAM and the 33MHz processor.

I researched them, too, and mine is on it's way. I've seen used units on eBay for under $180 FWIW. But I think the above posts tell us that it's a winner!

was there a 9 pin d-sub serial connector included with this originally too?
No. Just USB. You can buy it at eBay. But you can have fun making one. euroclie site (http://euroclie.free.fr/Uk/cable.html) provides excellent tutorial for converting or making db9 connector to N & S series.
FYI, my N760C works like a charm since 9/01. Still loving it. May be if there is a new T series with VG and replaceable battery pack, then I might consider to keep this as a backup.
