When using Agendus, is there any way to set a preference in the split agenda single day view to minimize the todo items? In other words, to just show the calendar portion. It is annoying to have to minimize the todo's each time I exit and then reenetr the program

Dividing the 2 areas is a line with an up arrow, a dot and a down arrow. Tap on the down arrow to make the calendar full screen.

I realize the down arrow minimizes the todo's, but is there some way to make Agendus remember this preference without having to do it each time I enter the program?

Also, just noticed that after loading Agendus and using the color option for some meetings, those same meetings now have a funky code attached to them on OutLook on my PC. Is this normal? Can it be avoided?

hmmmmmm....I didn't know that Agendus didn't remember this when you left it. I thought the older versions did. But, I'm using 6.0 now. What version are you using?

it remembers it for me.

I think I know what you're trying to accomplish. If you want to show the day view (split agenda view??) without the todos, then do the following:

. Tap the magnifying glass
. Tap Types
. Deselect "ToDos"

This way, no todos show up in the day view.

Yes, the "funky codes" are normal. Agendus uses the code to know which icon to display.

I have the same thing with the split screen - if I tap the down arrow it will remember that I don't want to see the split for that session, but when I exit and the re-launch agendus I have to push the down arrow again.

This still happens even if I choose not to show the to-do's with the magnifying glass as detailed in prev thread  It can be quite annoying, but hey, not life threatening :D

BTW I am using Agendus v6.01

mdicembre, Agendus uses the standard Date Book, Address, and To Do databases. This has the advantage of easy syncing using the built-in conduits plus you can always use the built-in apps. However, in order to provide more functionality, such as icons and repeats, Agendus needs to add it's own coding as notes. So if you look at a repeating To Do with a note in the built-in To Do app, you'll see the Agendus codes before your note. Of course in Agendus, the codes don't appear.

Just one question: why do you all use Agendus instead of the built-in date book, addresses, etc.? Wouldn't that waste some of the precious MB?

Yes, Agendus does take up quite a few of those precious MB, but it also provides greater functionality than does the built-in Datebook. One of the main reasons I use Agendus is for its 7-day view. Its fantastic! The second important reason is because of the use of icons. Quite nice. If interested, consider having a look at all its different features. You can find it at www.iambic.com.

There are other Datebook replacements, such as Datebk5, that also provide additional features over the built-in datebook.

This is odd. I am able to hide the todo section of the split view screen and it stays hidden even after I exit Agendus and return to it. I'm using version 5.35. (I gave 6.0 a try, but decided against it as the solid blue bars on the 7-day view were removed. I love those bars!).

I own both Agendus 6.01 and Datebk 5.0c
It seems that every other week I switch between the two to try to find my perfect datebk replacement. But both are sooo good!

Thanks for the reply ojleblanc. I was wondering if Agendus is actually a separate program that you see an icon on the launcher or is it just an enhancement to the Clie datebook (when I click on datebook it will look like Agendus)?

It's a separate application and has its own icon. It just uses/shares the same databases as the built-in apps.

The reason for getting any add-on application is to do more than what comes in the box. The built-in applications do all the basics. However, they have a limited number of views and options. For example, you can't do repeating To Dos.

There are lots of applications out there that do neat things. And there's lots of overlap. The trick is to evaluate the apps that do what you need them to do. While I love Agendus, others feel strongly about DateBk5. And then there are other more specific apps like ToDo+. The nice thing is that you can try them out for free. For me, that's part of the fun of owning a Palm/Clie.

Is Agendus compatible with Zlauncher?

deeps,

Did you every find a resolution to your split-view problem? Shortly after posting my reply that I was not having that problem, I started having it! After months of using Agendus 5.35 with no problems, the split view issue appeared.

I installed the demo of Agendus 6 and that seems to be fine, at least for now. But its very curious that this problem simply appeared out of the blue. Iambic had no solution for me.
