I just checked sony.com/clie

I pressed "Buy" in the T665c page.

It said, "The requested produce is no longer avalible".

Guess they are getting rid of the T665c in favor of the new SJ33.

Thats intresting. At SonyStyle.com neither the T665 nor the SJ30 have any "Buy Now" buttons like that rest of the products. Maybe Sony is going to annouce the TG-50 soon.

I'm wondering whether to pick up a T665 since they are going at a discount rate and I don't know much about where the TG50 will be priced or even availability. I have a n760c, the best palm device they every produced except it has only 8MB RAM and the Memory Stick really takes forever to load data (cataloguing is slow.) The 760 has good battery life and the T series is rumored to be woefully poor although usable. What do I care about?

- 16+ MB RAM and at least 4MB ROM
- Color, MP3 capability
- Small form factor like the 760
- Good battery life
- Would like external speaker and mike input

The TG seems to be coming out soon but the price will be back up in the $400+ range. Given what I'm seeing elsewhere it seems that we may be getting more for our money elsewhere. Add to the fact that MEMORY STICKS SUCK and are EXPENSIVE. From what I saw, I'm laughing my head off at the prices that Sony wants for its sticks and I wonder just how well current Sony customers will be when they find out that their TVs, cameras, and everything else, may not work well with the new memory sticks and that the cost will be PROHIBITIVE, multiples of 100% with regard to SD memory cards.

The big question is whether to wait for the TT to come down in price and whether it will. Palm is notorious for selling overpriced hardware and I'm not sure that the sliding gizmo is what I want. I just want something like the T665 witha mike and battery life. Is that asking too much? Sometimes I think the designers forget the point...

Well, I guess I need to know how much you actually use your n760c and how often you charge it (or replace the batteries, I'm not familiar with this model so I'm not sure if it is rechargeable or not).

I use my T665c for about 4 hours a day of non continuous use. I do listen to Mp3s for part of this time, but mostly I'm taking notes with my keyboard or looking up info of some type. I sync 2 times per day because (in the AM and the PM) but during the day I am completely away from any charging source. My battery usually ends the day around 60% and I've never seen it below 50%.

This is plenty adequate for me.

One other thing you could do is wait for the SJ33 which should be out shortly. I has all the same basic capabilities of the T665c (66mhz processor, Mp3, etc) but it boasts an even better battery life.
