I just upgraded from a NR70 to NX80. I was wondering if there are any apps out there that packages up an application(db's prefs, and all) for use on another clie. I am having a rough time transferring all the right files for an application (i.e Splash Wallet)
Any help would be appreciated

Are you using any launcher? ZL? IT asks if you would like to beam ALL associated files (prefs, etc.); that may help.

Perhaps download and use the trial (30days) and see if that helps.

I don't think filez can do this, but beamPro or some other similar programs MAY facilitate you beaming ALL appropriate pdbs... (don't know if they have triel versions tho)

How about copying files to the MS and the moving the MS to your new device?

I, personally, re-download ALL the programs new when I install them on a new PDA, just to MAKE SURE I have the most recent release for them all.

It's time consuming, but worth it in the long run . . . :)

I do the same, it also registers and installs any windows side-client for the PDA, so that is easier than fighting it....

I am not as concerned with the apps as I am with the data it contains.......For example with SplashMoney I have my bank account register in it. I am never sure which files to make sure to transfer, so that the app behave how it did on the previous pda

Well, if you do a fresh install on your new PDA . . . you can go to ClieFiles and compare & see what you've got/sizes, etc., then install the data file you need from your PC backup.

The easiest way to get all associate program files together is to show creator codes, then sort.
