I can't seem to get this to work. Using missing sync v3.0.5 (beta).
When I run the MS Import program it says it connects, but nothing shows up on the mac screen. Then the NZ90 appears to lock up and I have to reset it to get it to respond again.
anyone do this with any luck? I have a picture that i need to get off of this thing and its driving me nuts.

The fastest way to do that, generally, is with a MS reader. It should work fine.

Assuming I get this card in a reader, will I just see the pictures in the file on the card as specified by the missing sync software?
Also, aren't the jpg files in some sort of compressed format? How do I get them out of that?
Or, am I must making this more complicated than it has to be?

John,
It will depend somewhat on your reader. However, most readers for the Mac just plug in via USB and then show up on your desktop. Now, with OSX that should open iPhoto and there you have it.
What are you wanting to do with the photo? Print? Email? Copy?
BTW, iPhoto and most other photo programs these days handle JPEG quite well so the compression shouldn't be a problem.

No, I know that iPhoto etc.. handles jpeg. What has me confused is that I took a picture with this, hot synced it. When I looked into the backups folder (where the hot synced data is stored), I found the pictures.
Lots of times you can just open these files directly with a program that understand this and this file seemed like it would be no problem too.
I got a file name that looks like:
DSC00008.JPG.pdb
What I think this is, is a jpg file that is compressed further on the palm. Anyhow, I couldn't open it with any jpeg readers i had or preview on OSX. So, I can get at the file, I just can't read it.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thx.

yeah...try chopping the ".pdb" off the file name.
OSX is pretty smart.

tried renaming too, didn't work with either Preveiw or Adobe Acrobat. I think its in some other format for palmos and its compressed even further than the JPEG compression.
Finally got a MS USB reader. Works fine and iPhoto understands it. i would think this will also be the case with iTunes too.
