HI all,
Are there any HiRes icon (not those DesignsByBert or ClieSource icons, they are not really hires) for DateBk5? Something that look like the tab icons in ZLauncher? Those look absolutely awesome.
Thanks.

That's correct, Datebk5 doesn't support hi res icons internally yet, but CESD has that on his list of todos. Datebk5's own icon is now hi res in its latest beta.

Thanks for all the responses. I didn't know that DateBk 5 doesn't support HiRes icons. I just thought that those tab icons in ZLauncher look awesome and those in DateBk5 (or DesignsByBert, ClieSource Demo icons etc...) look primitive that I couldn't even tell what they are.

placing programmer's hat on head
Hmmm... If you're on an NX (or NZ when released), and if Iambic wrote Datebk5 to run in HiDensity rather than HiRes on the PalmOS5 Clies, then it could be done, since if you use the native PalmOS5 HiDensity stuff, the program doesn't know and doesn't care if the bitmap has a HiDensity definition.
Not sure if that applies to the original poster, however.
reaches to take off programmer's hat but realizes that he's at work and should have had had his programmer's hat on already, leaving it on

Hate to be picky, but Datebk5 is developed by Pimlico Software, not iambic. I won't use iambic software and explain why on my website.

Sorry, getting the software that I'm evaluating mixed up. You are right, and I don't mind being corrected when wrong. iambic does Agendus, and I'm evaluating both programs at the moment. You know, I had forgotten the whole datebk5.com issue. I think I just stopped evaluating Agendus.

No problem. Actually, it goes farther than the domain names. That's actually done and gone given CESD's gracious acceptance of iambic's apology. I have a page dedicated to the still on-going saga with others. The currency isn't as obvious since I've had some recent conversations w/iambic about the other issues that I haven't posted.

Like what? I'd be real interested to know 'cause I am currently demo'ing Agendus 6.0 right now.

Katia contacted me back in October 2002. She said that Graupera, iambic CEO, wanted to call me on the phone. He wanted to give their side of the story about the Designsbybert situation. I replied that I don't give out my work number, but would be happy to exchange emails. They basically wanted to know what it would take for me to remove my iambic page from my website. I emailed Graupera directly, with a copy to Katia, and told him that I'd be happy with an apology to Bert and his wife that they would accept. I never received an answer, not even an explanation of iambic's side of the story, and that was an answer in itself. Graupera could have at least acknowledged my email (which I know reached iambic) and said no if that was his stand. Instead, just cold silence. So my iambic page remains, as well as my negative opinion of iambic's business practices. I won't do business with a company that treats its customers and business partners with contempt. Caveat Emptor.

Well said, Tanker Bob. I had been a registered user of Action Names back in it's either 3.x or 4.x incarnation (4.x, I think)... but it'd been a LONG while since I'd used it. Shortly after reading your page, I plunked down the cash for DateBK - and don't regret it in the least.

tanker_bob,
Thanks for providing the info on Iambic's business practices. I'm deleting Agendus and installing datebk5 now. Thank God I was procrastinating and didn't buy it yet - I can't stand that type of corporate ethics (and that's coming from a consultant... hehehe). Assuming I'm happy with the functionality of datebk5, the gorillas will be thanking you. ;)
