I don't know either this is just my UX50 or some general system bug, but I disabled my UX50 completely by doing the following:

1) Set the power switch to "hold" position
2) Pressing the "capture/REC" button on the hinge

My UX50's power LED blinked once greenly, and then it went dead. Attempts to perform resets (soft or hard) fail to get any response from the device. It has been fully charged two hours ago, and putting UX50 on the charging cradle fails to start the recharge process.

This is probably just my device and yours will be fine even if you do this. But any feedback would be appreciated; has anyone had the same experience? Do you have any advice?

Thanks,

Tae

Totally stupid question here, but it has to be asked first...

Did you take the hold switch off?

search a bit in the UX50 forum. we discussed this earlier.

the thing is you have to either perform a hard reset while the clie in craddle (not very easy procedure) or open your clie and disconnect the batter for a couple of minutes

but it was discussed a bit more in depth in that thread
