Here is a dream app I'd like to find.

I'd like a screen to appear every time I turn on the Clie displaying the owner information, just like if it was locked. HOWEVER, I'd like to just tap the screen to make it go away and return to the last app I was using.

I know what you're going to say "why not set a blank password for Security?" and the answer is because then somebody can easily change the owner information if stolen. If I could set an owner splash screen that goes away easily, but would be password protected from change then I'd be a happy camper. I'm not that concerned about theft, but more concerned about simply losing it.

Thanks.

P.S. If you kill the battery, doesn't it loose the owner info anyway?

There are many splash screen availble that display every time teh PDA is turned on for w few seconds - you could make one to look like this.

And use HRCaptDA to take a picture of the screen, if it is possible to launch DAs from there ...

TealLock is my suggestion as I have it set with my owner info on the openning screen and have the quick access set to one of the buttons. Exactly what you are asking for plus great security as it can be stored in ROM, keeping all the owner information and make your device absolutely useless to anyone that wants to keep it.

For paid applications I prefer the functionality of GridLock over TealLock. I might recommend it to my boss for all the company PDAs if I can get it to stop crashing mine.

For now OpenLogo suits my needs well. Thanks for the suggestion!

For what reasons? As I'm always eager to try new things.:)

Well, the more I look at TealLock the better it sounds. However it is still twice as much money to buy, which might be a concern for my boss. I guess it's a matter "how many features" do we need.

They do have a corporate edition which says

"For larger (50+) quantities, email our Corporate Services Departmentfor site license pricing and information on a custom version of the program coded with a single registration key for ease of installation."

I'd give them a call anyways if you have less. Tell them how great you think their product is and how your company just loves it, but you are a small business and can't afford $25 a pop for their program. (if that is the truth) Who know, but it would be worth a shot. Sometimes companies can be really cool if you are dead honest with them about things like this. They love selling in quantity and getting a good rep as well.:)
