I just got it and I like it. (and no I didn't pirate it!)

Stylus/Black Ballpoint/Mechanical Pencil

It is so light that it nearly hovers off of the palm of your hand! The stylus tip, just as I had hoped, is similar to the touch and feel as the styli that came with the the N710C and N760. It doesn't click when I tap which I really like because it's kind of rubbery.

One of the cool things I found immediately is that the button on the top of the pen is just a curly hair smaller than the lanyard hole on the UX so it rests there comfortably until I need it. (see picture)

I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who likes all of their toys to be standardized and uniform. :D

You are SO funny! Great info about the pen, which before now I'd written off (ugh!) as a Sony money-grab. Your point that it's a wee bit rubbery is the seller for me. The tapping comes to feel like little daggers.

Nice to see what must be the world's, or at least this site's, most famous UX.

BTW, Thanks for the tip on the lanyard hole...My Rotring Quattro-Pen Data (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/rotring-review.html) sits there quite nicely. ;)

Yeah, I know. But that's all I could fit on that one screen comfortably. :)

All of the other tabs are just as loaded. I want ease-of-use. I don't have time to scroll around looking for sh**, knowwhatImean?

It will only work on UX models that don't have any pirated software on it. So, in other words, if your not Maxxed, it should work fine with your unit. :D

I know I'm going to get flames, but I've tried dozens of pen/pencil/palm combo ...? thingy's. By far the best of all of them ... for me ... is the PhD multi from .... drum roll .... Walmart. $7.95 and it's got the pen, pencil, and bright orange tipped stylis tip. PLus it has a hug pocket clip so I can hang it on my collar. (I ride a bike a lot and in the pocket stylus means pain).

I have Rotring version of that stylus. Instead of being slilver it's black. Yup it fits on the lanyard hole in the same way.

RLOL! Good question. The French girl threw me.

I've used the WalMart stylus, and I just got the Sony. They really are comparable -- one works as well as the other. The Sony matches my Clie, though. And after spending some 900 USD on the thing, yes, I can say honestly, that does matter. :)

I got a stylus yesterday! Except mine was 9.99 CAD (around 6.99 usd) and although it doesn't fit into the ux50's slot it has a pen (black or red)/ pencil/ and a stylus.

Yeah, I tried them first. No one seems to have it - it seems to have vanished from the planet not unlike other discontinued Sony products before it.

Had one of those but the case I bought it with was too small for my UX so I sent it all back. I also hate how you can't put it in the device. I'd loose that pen in a second.

Okay. So I bought three of these Clie Multifunction Stylus lookalikes the other day and they arrived in the mail yesterday. Dare I say they are actually better than the CMS? I am pretty impressed to say the least!!!

They are a little heavier than the CMS but feel great in your hand. It feels like an expensive pen yet it also has a mechanical pencil, a red pen, a black pen and, of course, a stylus which is more the softtouch rubbery variety that I prefer. At $6.99 USD, you won't find much better than this.

I spent today at lunch trying to find the stylus refills for two of the ST11s I have managed to drop and snap off the stylus tip. Any tips on where to get new, well, tips (or same-sized inserts) are appreciated.

I called Sony parts, who was no help until I found that there were 3 of the PEGA-ST11 still available.

Not anymore.
