Any creadance to the NR70V as a webcam claim???

Someone posted that he is using the clie as a webcam with a selfmade program. What are the chances? Seems unlikely due to the complexity involved in such an operation.

Seems possible to me. Sony offers a library to control the camera. Then, if you made your own serial cable... the serial manager would allow communication with the PC. After that, all you'd have to do is write your own driver which varies in difficulty depending on what OS you're writing for.

Of course someone who went through the trouble of doing that would most likely have put his app for sale - and a decent number of NR owners probably would have been interested.

Is Swooze still alive.  Yes, the site is active but not much activity going on.  And when I email to ask for my registration code (the one I got Palm Gear does not work on the latest version) I get no reply (twice already)

I got the impression that the original post about using the NR70V's camera as a webcam was joke, especially since the poster was not registered.

But it would be interesting to see if it could be done.
