I'm trying to figure out if the TH55 will fit in the Think Outside keyboard for Clie. Does anyone have one they can try? I'd assume that the drivers are not yet available, I'm interested in the physical aspect.

It does work with the _wireless_ keyboard, you can find several thread about it in the TH forum.

I have tried with both the 1.9.8s and 2.1.6T drivers. I can only to get it to work VERY intermitantly, and that is only for a few seconds. It usually results in a reset.

Crap! Anyone have any suggestions for a real. honest-to-goodness full sized keyboard for the TH55? The Think Outside line has been my standard since the Palm III.

Mine too since my Visor. I sent both Sony and Think Outside an email. Hopefully others will as well. My guess is that is has something to do with the variable speed processor. I'm hoping there will be a fix real soon.

Have you tried the 1.9 driver from Palm One? I went to their site to see if they had drivers for the T3 and the Palm Portable Keyboard. They did.

I just received this from Sony:
Thank you for contacting SONY Online Support.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The keyboard PEGA-KB11 is not compatible with CLIE PEGTH55.
Thank you for the opportunity to be of assistance.

I would encourage others to email them as well. Use the above address. Tell Sony on their support site too. It will be a real shame to lose the functionality of this keyboard.

I just tried that one - it didn't work.
Has anyone tried to see if the TH55 will physically fit on the original Stowaway? From what is being posted, I can't tell exactly which model of the Stowaway you all are using. Ed from Brighthand already said that it works fine on the wireless keyboard but I really need that number row of keys so I ordered the original Stowaway from ThinkOutside.
Right now that keyboard is on backorder so if anyone can confirm for sure please let me know if the TH55 will fit nicely on that keyboard. If it doesn't fit, I'll have to cancel my order. I'm not too worried about the driver compatibility. I'm sure that will be worked out.
Thank you!
Ken.

Does anyone know if it will work with the Sony Clie version of the Stowaway XT? I just got one of those keyboards over the KB100 because it allowed charging while using it, and I got it for half of the retail price (eBay auction). Any luck?

We will be putting some new drivers up in the next week and I believe
PALM is one of them.
This is the response that I got from Think Outside.

Hmmm. I just ordered the KB100. If the KB11 will work, I may have to send the KB100 back and safe the cash.
As to whether or not the TH-55 will fit on a PEGA-KB11 keyboard, the answer is yes it does nicely. But I have tried it using the version 1.9.8S driver I downloaded from Sony. It has not worked for me, even though it is listed to work for OS 5.2. It was writen by Think Outside. I am putting my hope in them coming up with a new driver... not Sony.:(

Good Evening-
I love my KB-11. Very much hoping that they write a driver.

I can't believe there's not a driver for this new model! I'll be returning my TH-55 until there's a driver available. I'll stick with my old Clie.

I received a beta today from ThinkOutside (I think they just wanted to shut me up after pestering them so much). It is certainly not fully functional yet, but the good news is that I didn't experience any freezes or resets like with teh previous drivers. I could type here and there, but it wasn't a whole lot better than the old drivers (which didn't work at all). I'm mainly writing just to say that they are working on it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the betas get better. I love my KB11, but don't really use it enough to fork out dough for a whole new keyboard.

I've had some recent exchanges with ThinkOutside about the keyboard issue. They plan on releasine, within a month, a driver for the wireless stowaway to make it compatible with the TH55. BUT they said that the problem with the KB11 keyboard is a hardware one -- that even though the TH55 physically fits onto the KB11 keyboard -- the connection is the same as the T- series, Sony has changed the electronics of the connection, which is why the device doesn't work with the new PDA. Alas.
