Hate two things about NZ90

Just Got my NZ90 from CompUSA. I must say it is the greatest palm pda so far. However, I really hate two things about it.

First: The design of Stylus slot. I don't think it can hold the stylus safely when you pull your pda in and out from your pocket. I think I may lose my stylus somewhere in just few weeks.

Second: The design of sync port cover. I think the cover will be broken within 2-3 months.

Except these two bad designs, I really love and enjoy my NZ90 and it is not that BIG!!

I concur on both things...I can't even figure out how to get the stylus out yet....and I was just thinking 2 minutes ago that I was going to break that door on the back when I pushed the unit into the cradle.....

I agree. The stylus is more of a pocket than a holder, and I most likely will loose mine as well. As for the cover on the back, I can't belive that Sony did it so cheaply, especially for an $800 item.

I don't know why I can't figure out how to get that stylus out. They fix some things and then make other things worse.

When I inspected the cover at the store, it looks removable without breaking it. I would have to say why do you need it anyway? The NX's and NR's never had a cover and the connector is even more exposed than the NZ, which seems even more recessed.

Feels like a little pull will pull the hinge tabs right out of their pockets. Whose gonna be the guinea pig???!!!!

I just got my nz-90 on Monday, and finally got back to this forum today and saw this thread subject. I agree with both items. I am afraid that I will lose the stylus as I put it in or out of something--bookbag, briefcase, etc. And the connector cover is just one gigantic pain the the wazoo. SURELY, Sony could have come up with something better than that!
The jury's still out on the size issue. It's big, for sure, but I don't know if it's TOO big, if you know what I mean. Fortunately, I purchased from a vendor that has a liberal return policy, so I will have some time to make the decision.

I have the NR70V and the NX90 just doesn't seem too big to me. I think it's just fine. Now, I just need a case for it :)

sony desgined it like this bc no one was buyign th extra stylli for the nx. THey want to sell accesroies and so if u loose it u'll have to buy another. I'm going to tape mine in and then just use a cross stylus combo pen.
