Just changed my profile to reflect TH-55 ownership.

Overall the upgrade process from my NR70v was pretty simple though it took a while.  I'm guessing a good 4-6 hours was spent by the time I was done.

My biggest headache was getting todo/db categories to remain populated when I did an overwrite from Outlook.  Luckily before I started my upgrade I had done a full backup to Palm Desktop so I was able to use the Migration Tool.  I would've saved a good hour if I'd just used the damn migration tool in the first place.  Also had problems with Pocket Mirror Pro.  I couldn't find where I'd downloaded the latest upgrade and of course signing into their site didn't work.

I did remove the old Palm Desktop (provided with NR70v) and that messed up Pocket Mirror so I had to uninstall it.  Surprisingly most of my conduits didn't get deleted so I saved time by not having to reinstall PC versions of ShadowPlan, HanDBase, Pocket Quicken and ISilo.  Documents To Go did screw up so I removed it pending the version 6 upgrade promised with registration.

My strategy as with previous upgrades was to move programs and data over one at a time either through fresh installs of the software or by beaming.  Once a program was verified working I would delete it from the old handheld.

Before I began the upgrade I did a few things.  First I made a zip copy of my user directory in the Sony Handheld folder.  I then renamed my old directory and created a user for that directory.  It was because I'd made that new user that I was able to use the migration tool.

Fairly straightforward, copy, test, delete, repeat.  I will likely go through the Archive and Backup folders under the old directory just to make sure everything can be purged and then delete that user.

Once everything was moved I deleted all of the items in flash, removed jackflash support, removed jacksafe support and restored the jacksprat rom image I made before I ever touched my rom back in 2002.  My NR70v is now sitting in it's cradle fresh as the day it was born, well internally anyway.
