Zlauncher help please..

Hello all, just tried installing zlauncher and I keep getting the "no theme found" error. I have tried every way I know to install it. I hotsync'd the zlauncher file and the theme (_sony64k..) file to my ms and they both keep getting placed in the /palm/launcher folder. I even tried to manually create the /palm/programs/zlauncher/themes folder and it still did not work. I am trying this on a UX50. I have searched the threads but have not found any solutions to my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Neither ZLauncher.prc nor the active theme can be on MS, they both have to be in RAM. Also any active iconset or backimage also has to be in RAM. Alternate themes, iconsets and backactive images can be stored on MS and easily exchanged with active themes, etc with Zl Theme Manager. Best to always install themes and iconsets to RAM initially and use ZL Theme Manager to move them to the card. Background images are best installed to the card as .jpg images (to save space), using MSImport. ZL Theme Manager automatically converts the .jpg to .bmp files and back when selected as the active backimage.

The Sony_64k theme isn't the correct one for the UX series, you need the Hi_64k theme.

Sorry, still newbie at this thing..so, of the three storage areas, internal ms, ms, and handheld. Z has to reside on handheld memory, right?

I got it sebring, thanks. I tried and tried last night to install it to memory and it would not go, now I try again this morning and it works.

Glad it worked out. I think you'll like ZLauncher, it's loaded with great features.:) And not nearly as difficult to learn as some would imply.
