I understand that audio player could be set up as background playing while reading the ebooks. Similarly, I would like yo take notes or refer to Doc to Go during voice recoding with my NX at the meeting. Could it be posssible for doing the same for setting up "background" voice recording? :)

To the best of my knowledge, what you ask is not possible as of yet. Perhaps an app will become available soon.

One plus PPC's ( Pocket PC’s ) have over Palm machines, is that you can "attach" audio snippets to many of the apps, I know it works on the Todo and the Notes apps. That ability is one I wish would be available on the Palm machines.

No, background recording isn't possible.  I do, however, like the fact that you can start recording, the slide the Hold switch to turn off the major functions of the Clie.  It continues to record, but the battery lasts a whole lot longer.

The play background is implemented on hardware, I think...

If the Clie NX has to be stopped recording before I could refer to some project data during the meeting, I may lose some important points raised by other members of the meeting. I just don't want to use the Clie solely as a "cassette recorder" and bring another laptop for the required data. It doesn't look cool! I hope some apps could help.

I wish there were also a way to listen to the voice memos while in other apps so you could transcribe the memos into Memopad or whereever else.
