Hi,

being located in Germany I'll have to wait at least another month until the NZ90 hits the stores here. And even then, there might be still the well-know "how-to-convince-may-wife" problem. ;)

Yet, I'm already drooling and would like to ask forum members and other Clié users if I am fantasizing beyond the gadget's capabilities.

- Bluetooth

Listening to MP3 tunes using a BT headset, recording voice notes using a BT headset. Synching and surfing (via a PC acting as a gateway). Sending snapshots to a PC or via a BT enabled cell phone. Using the phone book app to dial numbers on a BT enabled cell phone.

- WIFI

Having the PC stream out AVIs and watch the stream on the Clié.
Controlling an AIBO (which I'll never have) and seeing what it sees. :p

- CF memory (should drivers really come out)

Watching AVIs/mpgs from a gig drive. Listening to music that is not stored on a MS. Editing and transferring (via BT or TCP/IP) pictures taken with my real digital camera.

What are your experiences/dreams/comments?

How about sitting it on your desk with the camera being used (either through wireless or with a USB connection) as a web cam! With this lens and resolution, it could excel at that.

Anyone want to write drivers for it (Mac please too)?

Actually, being a Palm IIIc user at the moment, I would also like to learn if any of the things I mentioned above are really doable.

Any experienced users with input?

pretty much everything ur dreaming about can't be done on the nz.... yet. the only things it can do that u wrote so far are

-Editing and transferring (via BT or TCP/IP) pictures taken with my real digital camera.

-Sending snapshots to a PC or via a BT enabled cell phone.

Everything else is science fiction until sony gets off their fat *** and starts listening to consumer feedback.

Hi. I was thinking about some things too, for possible things that can be done with the thing. I was thinking about putting a camcorder on a remote control airplane and watching what it sees (like the AIBO thing), and being able to control the airplane with the clie (with bluetooth technology). I have a few more ideas but I think they would be a bit ridiculuous. But, I have a lot of time on my hands and I could invent many new things and be on tv here! And for those who use their powers for good and not evil, I will share my knowledge with the select few, that of which maybe none are even on this cliesource site! I wanted to mention some of my ideas so maybe if a Sony technical dude is watching then maybe the dude can make some cool applications to run a few of you all ideas, and mine. ciao

yeah except bluetooth's range is so short that your plane wouldn't make it far before you lost the video stream.....assuming you wrote the software for it...

Hi. Hi, nevardeath. I was wondering if you are the dude who bought the Linux handheld? I saw the pics of you and the girl and more but is it really you? ? WOW

I just realized I can't control the airplane with the bluetooth :(    :D :p :) ;)

Hey nevardeath do you have a CLIE nz90? I rememeber you from your pictures, I can't believe it's you. I thought you retired, even though this is the first and only reply I saw of yours. You are interesting one. ciao
