Anyone buy their pda at Comp Usa along with the replacement plan, and than use the replacement plan. I wanted to find out if it was easy and hassle free to take advantage of it.

Yes it is hassle free. I have had to use the extended warranty plan a couple of times (one went dead and one for a broken screen). I never had a problem each time. Just bring the broken unit into one of the stores (with box and accessories) and they will swap it out right there. The warranty plan is non transferable so, you’ll have to purchase a new warranty plan. But the plan does cover any type of damage.

The "in store exchange" has been done away with. Now you have to ship the unit to the warranty filler. The salesman was a bit vague about weather a new unit comes before you have to ship the old. This is of last week here in michigan.

Actually this is not true. If you read the terms of the various warranties you will see they still have a carry in replacement plan, and it states very clearly they will exchange it for the same item, or if it is unavailable, a comparible item.

Bought from CompUSA in DC this week and they said they would replace in store........I did not take it up though.....touch wood I won't drop mine any time soon!
