DVDX 2.2: Crashing when attempting to rip

Installed DVDX 2.2, ASPI 4.71.2, DirectX 9.0b, WM Encoder 9 and when I attempt to use DVDX:

1) I open it (duh)

2) Open DVD Root and take the longest one.

3) CLick yes about DVDs with encryption blah blah

4) Click OK in Input Settings

5) auth.dll error pops up, I press ok

6) A still of the clip pops up. I click the red button on the bottom to encode

Windows error box pops up:

AppName: dvdx.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: dvdx.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 0004924e


Anyone have any steps they recommend for me to fix this? Just got my UX50 dieingggg to get my NetFlix DVDs in my 586MSPro stick :-/

I found out my downloaded dvdx didn't have macrovision option. downloaded one that did, and now it works fine! it was a version of dvdx 2.2 going around w/o macrovision option. not sure how the developers package the software. might of been an error in a packaging going around?
