View Full Version : Are Pelaca's drivers necessary to get the CF to work on an nx-80?

I'm considering an upgrade from an nx-70 to an nx-80. I was wondering if I could just do a hotsync to get Pelaca's drivers on the new nx 80. The drivers have already been installed on the nx70. Anyone tried this?

It depends on which CF device and function you intend to use. Pelaca has several kinds of drivers for different uses in different Clies. The NX80 has more built-in functionality than the NX70, so it needs fewer of these. I've used the audioplayer, movieplayer, and the Targus modem drivers with success in the NX80, as well as the CF GPS driver, though this one is sporadic in performance and still under development. I've not needed the remaining CF Utility drivers for the NX80, and I believe they are for use in other models. Pelaca, do correct me if I am wrong on this.
