JackFlash doesn't work on the TH55.

If it did, you wouldn't find any room left. The system ROM is almost 100% full (of 16MB).

BTW: that's probably another reason they took out Movie Recorder and other apps, to keep everything just under 16MB after the introduction of new big apps like the CLIE organizer.

The th55 spec sheet says it has 32MB ROM.

First of all, I never trust the spec sheets.
One spec sheet says it has only 32MB or RAM (but it has 32MB of storage heap *and* 7 MB of system heap). The Japanese ROMs are always bigger, but I doubt they would go over the 16MB size either if possible.

Regardless, if you read the ROM range, it all fits under 16MB.
I guess it is possible that there is an unused 16MB of ROM space at the end, but just like the ~20MB of mystery memory claimed by the UX50 marketing literature, it may or may not actually be there.

I completely disagree. Don't forget, that the european th55 includes all software in 3 (german, french and english) languages (also the clie-organizer application). It also has 32 MB of ROM. This means than an US-Device with only englich-language will have some free ROM when brayder brings jackflash up to date for the th55.
