An idea for those who don't want the cover

I THINK if you figured out a way to UNSCREW JUST the cover you could leave the hinges in and it would look fine....... anyone brave enough to try it?

When I saw the photo of the cracked cover, I was thinking the same thing. I will probably try when it get here.
