So, you took the plastic film off the cover. I am debating. Seems like it might protect it from scratches. Plus, I can see through it without any problems.

That is actually the Clie Organizer. The unit defaults to that mode when you first power on. You can change it to the standard Clie interface, or the Clie Launcher as well.
