Hi,

As many of you are holding a th right now, i'd be glad to have some benchmarking results ; first of all a vfsmark with standard and ms pro medias than if u don't mind a kinoma benchmark to complete an existing database ;

The actual table for vfsmark is below :
http://www.lmame-bug.com/ux/vfs.jpg

For kinoma, the files are here : http://c0mm0n.free.fr/kinoma.rar (4mb)
IThe rar package includes the player we used for the bench and the video ; it would be nice to test the video stored in ram and ms.

The result we had up to now are here : (if not mentionned file was stored on external card ms or sd)

Tapwave Zodiac:
- Portrait: 239.3 fps
- Landscape: 237.4 fps

Palm T3:
- Portrait: 211,9 fps
- Landscape: 48,0

Sony Clié NX73:
158,3 fps

Palm TT:
122.1 fps

Sony Clié N770
30.7fps

Sony Clié UX50
Ram 471
Vms 323
MS 229.1

Sony Clié TH55
Ram ???
MS ???

Original thread in french is here : http://forum.palmspirit.com/viewtopic.php?t=8026&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

BTW: the VFSMark number is a very poor metric

FWIW:
I ran some of my speed test using memory sticks (standard and pro) on the TH55 and got results very close to the UX50 speed (within the sampling error). Not surprising considering the similarity of the models.

More detailed UX50 numbers here apply to the TH55 more or less (except the Internal Media numbers)http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25950

I wouldn't base too much on this measurement.

I'm quite impressed how poorly T3 performs in landscape

We deduced from this test that landscape was software emulation on T3 and hull hardware supported on zodiac

I know guys benchs are only benchs and i won't make a whole thing about who is faster or better or anyway ; we just stopped one day with devices and kinoma and ran these tests. Th results should be very close to ux ones,
